Almaden

Learn to Be Almaden is a chapter of the non-profit organization, Learn to Be, connecting students from underserved communities to online tutors for free. Our mission is to expand Learn to Be in the Almaden Valley neighborhood of San José, California.

What We Do

Recruit Tutors

At Learn To Be Almaden, we recruit volunteer tutors in Learn To Be's platform by guiding members through the application and tutoring process.

Recruit Students

As a community chapter, we recruit students from local foster youth organizations, food banks, homeless shelters that serve students, and local schools if they require tutoring help.

Fundraise

Learn to Be Almaden will host fundraisers to raise money for Learn To Be's non-profit organization. Every $5 you donate funds one full hour of free, 1‑on‑1 tutoring for an underserved student. (See below for donation info)
